Yes, I’m sure you can find the difference between these data elements by creating an indicator. Have you tried creating an indicator for this?

Yes its very possible,
The difference will be noticed in output especially if the data elements have different periods.
Use cases are mostly around population data elements used together with routine data

For you case it will be a number indicator with denominator 1 and subtraction as numerator
