Bounday - level selection in pivot and visualizer in 2.12

Hi all,

after releasing 2.12 the most frequent feature request was the ability to select organisation units by boundary and level in pivot table and data visualizer modules.

This means that you can select one or more organisation units as boundaries in the hierarchy, then a level, which means that the report will contain all org units at that level within the sub-hierarchies of the boundaries.

To access it, go to pivot or visualizer, click on the “Organisation units” section in the left-side menu, then on the “settings” icon and tick “Select boundaries and level”. Then select boundaries from the hierarchy, and the level from the drop-down above the hierarchy. See attached screenshot.

Another nifty feature we have introduced in 2.12 is the ability to use mathematical functions in indicator expressions. Available functions are abs(x), sin(x), cos(x), tan(x), log(x), ln(x), sqrt(x), mod(x,y). This can be typed directly into the numerator or denominator expressions.

Hope this enables more people to upgrade to 2.12 as it contains lots of improvements over 2.11.

best regards,

Lars

Hi Lars
Nice work, I like this. But if you tick the second option which is "Select boundaries and level" and then select National level from the drop down menu and finally select any of the districts you will be greeted with a very scary pop up. See attached file. I understand there is no point in doing such a combination, I was just testing everything
Gomez.

Hi Gome,

agree that is one scary popup. Thanks for testing. We will fix this.

regards,

Lars
