Bioinformatics / phenotype development / machine learning research with DHIS2?

Hi, I am doing a postdoc at Columbia Medical Center, which leads the ohdsi.org consortium.

OHDSI (Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics) builds open source tools for phenotypes, and other bioinformatics and machine learning / AI research based on medical records.

This can form the basis of clinical decision support tools.

I am curious whether a similar set of tools is planned for DHIS2? Do you know who I might ask about this?

For example, I have used Apache Superset and Jupyter Notebooks in combination with the tools that OHDSI builds to build predictive models that may have clinical utility (e.g. for patient readmission prediction: [1904.05342] ClinicalBERT: Modeling Clinical Notes and Predicting Hospital Readmission).

Thanks!

Hi @jaan , as far as I know, there are no concrete discussions or plans around this at the moment from the core team (@mike can perhaps correct me if I’m wrong here). But perhaps there have been some related research happening out in the community, which someone could chime in on here…
