I saw the video only, sorry for my ignorance, but can anyone confirm whether COVID-19 vaccine management has ‘batch/expiry handling’?

Hello Mahmudul,

For the stock monitoring we do not have management by batch or expiry date. Within our vision for LMIS, the batch and expiry would be managed by an upstream LMIS. The use of DHIS2 for LMIS is focused on digital, end-user stock data capture. Let me know if you would like more information, feel free to reach out to me at breno@dhis2.org.

Also, Tracker allows for capturing batch and expiry for every dose administered, particularly relevant for AEFI, in case this is what you are asking about.

Thanks for the information. We received some queries related to DHIS2 COVID module from different countries, and I see people a little confused on this area - they think (based on the presentation or video demo) that the module has batch/expiry management. Eventually they would need 2 systems to manage COVID vaccines - one for stock management and another in DHIS2.
