Assistance Needed: Cursor Navigation Issue in Default Data Entry Form

I am currently working on a default and section data entry form in DHIS2, and after deploying the form, I received some feedback from users regarding cursor navigation during data entry. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in addressing this issue.

User Feedback:

“During data entry, the cursor goes to the right side instead of going down when heating enter or tab or down arrow key. Please revise this element, as at the moment it needs clicking to go to the next data element to enter data hence reducing speed in data entry.”

I’d appreciate any guidance on how to adjust the form so that the cursor moves vertically (down) to the next field when using these keys. I’m using the default and section form setup, so I’d prefer a solution that doesn’t involve custom coding.

Thank you for your help!

Best regards,
Mofo.

Hi @Mofo

Could you share the format of the form? It depends on the design of the form. For instance, in the form below the logical flow is from left to right:

However, it is possible to switch rows/columns such as below:

Hi @Gassim

So users want that when the cursor is on Seriously Ill under Unsuppressed, when they hit Enter, the cursor should go to WHO Stage 1 under Unsuppressed because that is the flow of the form they are getting data from.

Also, in the Section in my DHIS2 instance, there’s no Pivot option. I am using DHIS2 version 2.40.0.1, so how can I manage my situation with these details?

Apologies, I didn’t know that this feature is only available for v41 and above.
