Android - Tracker Capture org unit on program rules not working

Hi,

Does organization unit work on Android Tracker Capture App as a condition for program rules?

For example, we have a program rule condition
d2:left(V{orgunit_code},3) != ‘258’ so that the data element will show up only for a specific organization unit.

This works on web application, but it isn’t working on Android.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Cha

We have a similar use case for which we use program rules based on OU codes, and as far as I can tell, I can confirm that it does not appear to work in the new Android app.

I’ve been working on a Jira ticket but it’s quite an undertaking to re-create something similar using the Play demo.

Best,

Once the jira ticket has been created, I would appreciate if you could share the link so that we could vote on it - I am also interested in addressing this issue.

Dear team,

You will find this handy if you are implementing the new DHIS android app; for what is currently supported or not yet

Thank you for your feedback Sarah. I’ll find an alternative work around it until this feature gets implemented.

Cheers,

Cha

Hi all,

thanks for reporting. As Prosper mentioned (thanks!) you can find in the documentation the supported features in the Android App.

It will help you differentiate when you find a bug or a not supported feature.

For non-supported features you don’t need to reproduce the case in the demos servers, and you can also create a Jira issue requesting it.

We see this one is quite popular and have created a Jira issue for it. You can follow up here: https://jira.dhis2.org/browse/ANDROAPP-1527

Many thanks!

Marta
