The first Apps to be released are Data Capture and Tracker Capture. They come with a lot of fixes (read the Release notes for further details).

You can install them through Google Play (Data Capture, Tracker Capture) or download the apk from Github (Data Capture, Tracker Capture)

We recommend going to Github for a complete list of issues solved.

Following the links below, you will find documentation with detailed information on the functionalities included in the Apps and how they behaves compare to the Web. *We recommend to download the PDF files, internal links do not work if you open them online).

This documents are a tool for implementers who need to understand if the Apps will cover their needs and respond to their configurations of DHIS2 in the web.

We encourage you to download the Apps and test them, they are compatible with DHIS2 versions 2.25, 2.26 and 2.27.

Please remember to create a Jira Issue if you find a bug or you want to propose a new functionality to be added!

Hello Android Team,We already have a bunch of about 60 facilities already using the DHIS2 data capture app. We are currently in a meeting and trying to update the app to the latest version (July 2017). The version we are seeing on the Play Store is a March 27, 2017 version. See below. These are Samsung phones running Android 4.4. What do we do to get the latest app?

Ifeanyi

Hi Ifeany,

We are seeing that Google play sometimes doesn't update all fields when we
release, sometimes information is cached and people see different dates or
versions, but we have seen it in the web, not in the phones.

- can you tell us if this is happening in different devices??

- can you verify which version are you running? To do that, go the App
Menu -> About this App It should say 1.6.6

If it doesn't, one option is to uninstall the app and install it again, and
if that still doesn´t work, then you can download the apk from Github
following this link
<https://github.com/dhis2/dhis2-android-datacapture/releases>, however,
downloading the apk might be a solution for you, but not for 60 facilities.

Android 4.4 is not a problem.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Marta
