Combination of Categories are not implemented as attributes for both DataSets (Data Capture Android app) and Program as Events (Event Capture Android App). Do you have any plans of implementing these features in Android? In PSI, we have many examples where we have these kind of attributes as dimensions, but unfortunately it is not possible to send this data using android apps.
As far as I know, you are building a new data capture application based on the dhis-android-sdk. If that is the case I believe you are introducing also the concepts of categotyoptions, categories, categoories combinations in the sdk? I think it could be a good oportunity to add programs and datasets combination of categories as well.
If this is in your agenda… do you have an estimation about when could this be a reality?
We’re currently implementing it for Data Capture and we have it on the roadmap for Event Capture. I belive we will start on the functionality for category combinations in mid August

Hi guys,
Because of summer holidays and field trips we can’t start before end of the Oslo Expert Academy. The feature it self is not that hard to implement but I would still estimate about 2 weeks for this one.
We develop mainly for 2.24 since that is the latest stable version. After that we can look into if it works with older versions of DHIS2.
Hi Jose - the plan (I understand) is for it to work in 2.24
For PSI MM/ PPs (2.22), it actually benefits the implementation the fact that it is present on Android: if empty, we can get a script to populate the field based on the user that created the record.
