A bug in Capture App

I’m using dhis2 version 2.41.3.
There’s a problem with the Capture app, as it won’t accept adding a new event unless the organizational unit is removed from the search box in the user profile, or if I downgrade to version 100.70.7 Capture.
while it works from android app without any problems.
Unfortunately, this is why users are experiencing input issues.

I don’t know why the recent dhis2 update has been causing so many problems.

Hello,
I am using dhis2 version 2.41.3 and the Capture app version 101.33.1.

There are two issues with the Capture app:
First: If the user’s language is Arabic, the Capture app does not allow adding any events. If we change the language to any other language, it allows the user to add the event.
Second: In the Tracker stage settings, I set the stage date to be the same as the login date. However, when I enter the event file into the Capture app, it does not transfer the enrollment date to the stage date.
This issue also exists in the android app.
I recorded two videos explaining the issue and shared the link on Google Drive.
1.Caputre app (Capture App.mp4 - Google Drive)
2.Android app (Android App.mp4 - Google Drive)
I have addressed this issue before and it has not been resolved.
(Dhis2 app newer than 2.6.2 doesn't take enrollment date automatically)

I don’t know why the latest dhis2 update has encountered so many problems.

Hello
I’m using dhis2 version 2.41.3
and Capture app version 101.33.0.
There’s a problem with the Capture app. In the Super User account, when I log in to the Capture app, a message appears (“The application could not be loaded. Please see the log for details.”)
This doesn’t appear in older versions of the app.

I don’t know why the recent dhis2 update has had so many problems.

About issue number one
I believe this issue is related to the Arabic language in the date and time fields. Also, the application does not allow adding an event if they are in Arabic. I believe the solution lies in using English numbers in the date and time fields’ dialog.
when I changed the language of user to English , the Arabic language issue was resolved and the event entered.

Hi @Eng.Ali_Hameed

Regarding the android issue, as mentioned in the other CoP post, there is a known error when combining the Autogenerated + Opened after enrollment features. Sorry for the inconvenience, you can follow up the ticket: Jira

Hi @nancyesp
okay , Thank you for clarifying this.
What about the Arabic language issue (issue number 1) and the issue with message (error encountered during field validation)?

Thanks

Hi @Eng.Ali_Hameed

To keep the discussion focused and organized, we try to keep the discussion of each issue in its separate topic thread and follow up in the specific topic for each issue. Thank you for your understanding.

I believe Nancy’s response addresses the main issue in this topic thread so I’ve marked it as a solution. The ticket (Autogenerated + Opened after enrollment incorrect workflow) - Android 5717 is under analysis, if it is solved and you update but then you’re still facing the same issue, please follow up here.

Thanks!

Hi @Eng.Ali_Hameed,
I see this topic was solved re: the Android issue but you had some other questions here.
(@Gassim, feel free to split or move.)

  • “Error encountered during field validation” - JIRA issue here - workaround is to make sure the unique TEA is also assigned to the relevant TET, not just the program.
  • Cannot add event with Arabic as language - This seems to also be a bug, I’ll look into it and add the JIRA issue here.
  • Event date does not take enrollment date - Jira issue here - in our shortlist and will be looked at soon
  • “The application could not be loaded. Please see the log for details." - Make sure cache is thoroughly cleaned including indexedDB - Jira issue here - issue in progress

Hi @Karoline
Thank you for clarifying
I will follow the Jira links to find out when the above issues are resolved.

about “The application could not be loaded. Please see the log for details."
I made sure to clear the temporary data and also used an incognito browser window to ensure there was no temporary data.

Thanks

Hi @Karoline
Please, if you have created a Jira solution for the issue (Cannot add event with Arabic as language), please share the link with me so I can see if the issue has been resolved.

Thanks
