Long names displayed in dashboards instead of short names (2.39)

Hello,

I am testing an upgrade to 2.39.5 and I’m seeing that there is a persistent bug that despite the user settings being set to display short names, and the short names being displayed in the data visualizer, when adding charts to dashboards the long names are displayed instead. I see that there is a Jira issue which is marked as resolved, however, I’m not seeing the fix applied to 2.39.5.

Is anyone else experiencing the same, or is there a setting that I can change to resolve this?

Thank you for the explanation and linking the jira ticker. The fix is for 2.39.6 which according to Downloads - DHIS2 releases timeline the target release date: August 8, 2024. However, it has already been fixed for version 40 if you are willing to give that version a try.
