Thanks Bjorn,

Could you please upgrade for 2.21 also, I have tried to include the latest api but then it gives a duplicate error for Map Api as Dhis library is also included and if I remove dhis library then the plugin dosent’t work. I am facing this issue with plugin only.

Hi Jan and Bjørn,

I have now upgraded all our 9 instances to 2.22 R 22089 but one of the instances will now not render the GIS app at all, it just hangs (see attached screenshot). This is when attempting to navigate here:

https://[server]/dhis-web-mapping/index.html

I tried rerunning analytics and there is an error in the logs (stack pasted below) :java.lang.IllegalStateException: Analytics table dimensions contain duplicates: [“oZXosvGYth6”]

I’m not sure if this is related to the map rendering or not? I’m not sure what else to do to troubleshoot the GIS app not working as there are no javascript errors and no other errors in the tomcat log. Note that I can still use the pivot table app and there is data in there to view.

Please help!

Thanks,

Lorill

I have bumped the GM api version in 2.22 and 2.21 which I think will fix the issue for now. Please update and see if it helps.

Hi all,

I am also getting some errors while using GIS Plugin. Following is the console and screenshot of generated map.

I have test it on 2.24 as well , same error is coming there!

If I setup the browser key for Missingkeymap using <script async defer src="https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?key=#################"type=“text/javascript”>

Then I have to remove the plugin source otherwise duplicate map library error came.

Anyone faced similar issue with Plugins?

Thanks & Regards,

Sourabh Bhardwaj.

Hi Bjørn,

These instances will eventually be upgraded, perhaps in the next 3-6 months, but not immediately.

Do you have any ideas with how we can address this specific issue in version 2.22?

Thanks,

Lorill

Do you have the chance to upgrade to a new version of DHIS 2?

There is a lot of GIS improvements in DHIS 2.23 and 2.24.

Hi,

When attempting to load up the GIS app in DHIS 2 in some of our instances, we are getting the following error popup:

Please see the attached screenshot of the javascript console, which shows this error:

“Google Maps API error: Google Maps API error: MissingKeyMapError https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#missing-key-map-error

When closing the popover, the world map does not render.

We are using 2.22 R 22026.

How can we fix this?

Thanks,

You mean the whole module, or the maps don't load?

https://play.dhis2.org/dev/dhis-web-mapping/

Does that link work for you?

The whole module.
Yeah the link you sent me works.

Now I have just checked

Version:
2.24
Build revision:
23546

and GIS module loads fine.

So maybe was my instance which was corrupted or somthing.

Well, two common issues when you have different behaviour on /demo vs your own instance:

  1. Try with chrome incognito

  2. If you upgraded, clear out nginx cache [1]
