Dear community,
Due to a new Google Policy regarding COVID-19 crisis the DHIS2 Android Capture App has been temporarily removed from the Google Play Store as it lacks the official approval from an International Health Organisation.
We are working on this (have already initiated contacts with Google and other actors) so it can be back in the Play Store as soon as possible. In the meanwhile, if you urgently need the application you can find it in the official Github Repository
And we are adding here the direct links:
We apologize for any inconvenience and we will keep updating this post with any news.
Best.
Update: 3/06/2020 - 18:02 |
The App is back in Google Play! Announced in the Community here. |
Update: 3/06/2020 |
We have provided letters and emails from several actors supporting the application as a COVID-19 valid Application and we have received a confirmation from Google that they are looking into them. We will keep updating this threat with more information. |
Update: 27/05/2020 |
We are still awaiting a response from Google. We initiated contacts last week via other means like Twitter (thanks for your support and retweets) however it seems it didn’t speed up the process. We are also trying to reach them through some contacts hoping this will speed up the process. As soon as we get any news we will update this thread. |
Update: 18/05/2020 |
We have not received any news from Google yet. We are assuming that as they explain in their web review of Apps can take now up to 7 days due to the crisis. We are hoping to have a response this week. |
Update: 14/05/2020 |
The UiO has sent a letter to Google on the same date of the issue (12/05) and we are still awaiting for their response. It seems that during the COVID-19 crisis they are a bit overloaded. We will keep updating this thread with any news. |
