Dramatic decreases in global health funding and official development assistance have had a serious impact in low- and middle-income countries. Faced with shrinking budgets, governments are being forced to make tough choices—weighing the costs and benefits of sustaining digital health systems against other urgent priorities.
In this webinar, Ministries of Health from several countries in Africa and Asia will share their experiences navigating this challenging funding landscape. They will discuss how they are prioritizing digital health interventions and the crucial importance of maintaining country-owned health management information systems (HMIS) for long-term resilience and data-driven decision-making.
Members of the DHIS2 core team will also present key findings from a 2025 HISP network survey covering 48 countries. The survey captures the impact of funding reductions on national HMIS and highlights opportunities for coordinated action to address critical gaps and ensure sustainability.
Join us to learn from country experiences and contribute to a global discussion on sustaining national health information systems.
