currently (2.20) only validation names can be translated.
I think this is a bug (that the actual message cannot be translated). Should I report it as a bug? If it isn’t a bug, how difficult is it to include it as multilingual? I’m working in a implementation that it is actively using 4 languages.

this is something we have not yet implemented (not a bug but a feature that should have been there - can we invent a term for that?).
Currently the translation solution is based on the “identifiable properties”, meaning name, shortname, description, so implementing this will not be trivial, but can of course be done. Feel free to write a blueprint.
