I would like to give my input in Validation rules error messages, If we can have an option of customizing validation rules error message that pops up in data entry screen to any other languages(like our in country languages). This will make the end users to understand whether the validations passed successfully and also be able to interpret errors more easily.
I agree with you. We have actually been thinking along those lines earlier. There should be a configurable and internationalizable (is that a word?) template for a message when a rule is violated, as today’s message is rather cryptic. It should be possible to include variables for the values of each data element, as well as sum of left and right side of the rule. Blueprint here, put up for 2.15 for now:
