User role

Hi
I use version 28
I want to define a limited data set for users, especially in analysis and reporting,
I can do this in data entry via user role but in reports or analysis I can’t

Would you try using Sharing Settings in DHIS2?
You have to create a user group for the users you want to access this dataset, and assign access to this user group for the related meta data objects. See here for guidance.
NOTE: I think users might still be able to see these objects but they will not be able to access the values based on the sharing settings.

Let us know if this was helpful.

Thank you Emma for your help

Actually, I did this steps you mentioned, but I still have users in top administrations who don’t have time to search among the large number of data sets in the system, so they want to see only certain things.

Consider some of these options then:

  1. Group the data elements or indicators that way they can only search through that particular group.
  2. Create Favourites in Pivot table and Data Visualiser, add these to the dashboard alternatively they just search for the names within the analytics apps.
  3. Use Dataset reports (not much manipulation here) or Standard Reports.

I hope this helps.
