Serious testing

Dear community,

Have any testing strategy been implemented for DHIS2, and is any
documentation of this available?

WHO might be willing to sponsor a professional testing and assessment, so
I was just wondering if anything close to this has been done? Testing
load, bottlenecks, data structure etc etc

Johan

This sounds interesting.

We have our dedicated Indian testing team in readiness. Saptarshi, Satvik, how far are we on making a formal test document?

Most global modules have a formal document on functional testing, but I still need to aseemble those and create a proper format for it.

For load generation, we have looked and worked a bit on using Selenium IDE and the Firefox extension. May be Brajesh from Indian team will can create a load test script and WHO can then use that and expand on it…

I’ll get back with the files may be in a day or two.

That’s great news, thank you.

Johan, the serious testing is now on its way, go ahead prepare dragging some sponsoring out of WHO.

Great. I think what Steven here had in mind was some external company that
would give some sort of certificate or otherwise legitimize DHIS, but if
this can be done in-house by professionals, that would be great. We would
also be interested in load scripts etc, in the public health lab we're
setting up.

If an official “certification” of DHIS 2 is what they want then it should probably be done by an external company i guess.

Anyone with experience in this regard? Know any companies that do this
kind of testing and verification? I know this might be outside the regular
DHIS budget, but for HMN it would make sense to pay an external company to
verify the quality of the software we're going to support implementation
of.

I would appreciate if someone could come up with possible suppliers of
this, and I will make a proposal for funding from the HMN.
