Yes thats a new feature, i want you to be REALLY sure you want to save by clicking twice. 
Will look into it and fix

It looks like it is the validation op that is blocking it (e.g. the input field is active, and preventing validation), maybe the save button can say validate when there is a pending validation operation? Either as greyed out or even user clickable:
