QR code scanner or barcode scanner for mobile inputs

Dear All

I found a similar thread on the Launchpad forum (https://lists.launchpad.net/dhis2-users/msg06812.html) and was wondering whether there had been any further thought or progress into this idea?

Would this be a feasible option to follow for the mobile apps (Android) by any chance or through any other path?

Kind regards,

Terence

Helli Terence,
Yes, it is feasible to include a QR/barcode scanner in the Android apps.

It is not in the short-term plan to include such functionality. If you create an issue on our JIRA issue tracker then we can evaluate it when we plan for next development iteration.

You can create an account and report the issue here: jira.dhis2.org - please report for the Android project.

Regards,

Erling - DHIS2 Android Team

Dear Erling

Thank you for the information. I will look into it further and log a request if needed. I just wanted to see whether there was anything available in the short-term for DHIS2 so that we can plan any possible projects around this information. If the projects are accepted, we will certainly log the issue on the JIRA issue tracker as mentioned.

Thank you for your help!

Kind regards,

Terence
