Put comma like 2,000,898 during user typing on data entry form

anyone have any experience how to set comma in dataelement for user typing and automatic split with comma like 2,000,8988 in data entry form?

@Sophorn_Lim Did you assign the option set to that particular data element correctly? If possible, please share a screenshot.

We have been interested in this issue for LMIS for almost two years, to my knowledge it is not possible to change this setting in DHIS2. But we have opened
a JIRA ticket (March 2023):
https://dhis2.atlassian.net/browse/DHIS2-15029
and a Roadmap-issue (February 2024):

However, so far, this issue was not been prioritised and no timeline for a possible implementation is known.
