Program notifications - where to specify communication formats?

I was wondering whether this topic was ever resolved? I am currently working in 2.30 and would like to tailor one specific message to be sent via internal system message only, whereas other messages (from program notifications) should be sent via text and email also.

At the moment, some people are being inundated with hundreds of text messages that are not urgent and the urgent SMS disease notifications are getting lost in between these hundreds of text messages. I looked through the build documentation and also the program rules and program notifications and could not find where to specify the means of message delivery.

Any help would be appreciated.

I’m not sure - this is typically Zubair’s focus area, and I have not seen any feedback from him recently. Could be he’s working on other stuff, I know he was part of a team visiting Iran some weeks ago for some work under the auspices of the local WHO office.

Have you tried to query the JIRA issue directly?

I managed to find the following JIRA link that may address our questions: DHIS2-260

It seems it is scheduled for v2.32, which is great news.
