I am getting this error when running:
mvn install
from master here: https://github.com/dhis2/dhis2-core
Did I do something wrong? Or is this a nightly build issue?

Hi Adam,
We have seen this type of error before, and it seems to be connectivity related, but not sure of the exact cause.
https://ci.dhis2.org/job/dhis2-trunk/
and
https://travis-ci.org/dhis2/dhis2-core
are both running fine, so I suspect it is something local. Which version are you attempting to compile?

it could be that the geotools/osgeo maven repo was down temporarily. Could you try again?
http://download.osgeo.org/webdav/geotools/org/geotools/gt-render/
Also try running maven with the -U option for force a fresh download of artefacts:
mvn install -U
