I started getting this error message recently and I will need some
help on how to solve it.
I try installing postgresql and the installing started up to the end
and the following message appear preventing the postgresql not to even
get started:
Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete correctly
Error reading file C:/Program Files/PostgreSQL/8.4/data/postgresql.conf
I currently have dhis 2 version2.4 installed on a Windows platform and using MySQL version 5.1.57-community server as the database.
I created two data element categories namely:
Age with the category options ‘Less 15 yrs’ and ‘15+ yrs’
Sex with the category options ‘M’ and ‘F’
I then created a data element category combination called AgeSex with the selected categories being Age and Sex.
Next, I created a few data elements and selected AgeSex into the combination of categories field.
I then created a dataset consisting of the data elements previously created. The problem now is, I tried creating a data entry form but when I opened the data entry design form, the data elements in the selection box show only the Age category options and not the Sex. So, for each of my data elements, I have only two options:
I feel this is a access right problem. Recent Windows system has been
disabled to change under "C:/Program Files/" by program for the change
management.
To avoid this problem, I created folder like as "C:/usr " and installed it
under the "usr" folder.
Best regards,
Suzuki

hard to say. Are you sure that ALL of those data elements share the
same category combination? Any exceptions in the log? Is your database
online somewhere so we can have a look?

Please, is there anything I'm not doing right? I need your help to resolve
this.
Thank you.
John.
The same happened to me, and the point was that I added a Data Element Category to the Data Element Category Combination when it (the combination) was already assigned to a data element, wich also was already assigned to a data set.
The solution was to create again the Category Combination and assing it to the data element. Not elegant… but it did work
So I suggest… make sure you did everything in the order " categories , categories combination, data element, data set " and if you didn’t or don’t remember… Create a new category combination from scratch and check if it works then.
Thanks Marta and Lars, I will double-check and try out your suggestions and get back to you.
For now, the database using the dhis2 version 2.4 is not in production so not yet online. I wanted to be sure everything works perfectly alright before updating the version on our server, which is the version 2.3.
Thank you so much.
John.
