MySQL logging and auditing

Recently we wanted to add good logging to an DHIS2 implementation

While we used postgres in that instance, MySQL out-of-the-box auditing capabilities isn’t very sophisticated.

Found a good blogpost on how to log audit stuff - http://www.mysqlperformanceblog.com/2012/12/28/auditing-login-attempts-in-mysql/

Thank you this is nice!

By the way: Do someone have used MariaDB to replace MySQL? How it was?
