How to Use Program Indicator Disaggregations (ROADMAP-73) in DHIS2?

Hello DHIS2 Community,

I’ve read about the new feature for Program Indicator Disaggregations Jira , which allows program indicators to be disaggregated by category options and combinations. This should make it possible to analyze program indicators by these disaggregations and aggregate values into the aggregated data model, reducing the need to create multiple program indicators for each permutation.

However, I am unable to find this feature when creating a program indicator in my DHIS2 instance V2.42.2. I’ve checked the documentation and the program indicator configuration screens, but I don’t see any options related to disaggregations.

Where exactly can I find and configure program indicator disaggregations in the UI?

Are there any prerequisites or settings that need to be enabled?

Any guidance or screenshots would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Hi @Kenyuri

Good question! I also see that the the ticket doesn’t explain how to navigate to this feature but I found out from the screenshot in the ticket. Please check it in the Maintenance (Preview) app, see screenshot below:

I hope this helps to get started?

Thanks!

Hello @Gassim

Thank you for the insight! I was able to download the new Maintenance (Preview) app and, after exploring it a bit, everything worked perfectly.

A big thanks to @DHIS2 Docs AI for pointing me to the Jira ticket, which provided additional clarity on how to use the feature: [DHIS2-18745] Add backend support for Program Indicator Disaggregation - Jira
