# How to create a data element with this format (SSD\_S21-102)

Hello James,  
If I understood correctly you wish to have the 1002 part automatically increase,correct?  
What about the other parts? SSD-S21- are they fixed for all or also need to change based on some criteria (e.g. the org unit?)
