How does "D"number of days works

Hi,
i am trying to create this calculated data element “Potential Number of hospitalization days(Beds x days in month)” using “Beds” as data element and “D” to formulate the the numerator but it’s not calculating the value. Any help on how this works, i couldn’t find any related info the manual.

Thanks,

Adolphe

Hi Adolphe,

thanks for your report. I have tested the number of days feature in
indicators and it works as expected. The "D" / "[Number of days]" in
indicator formulas will be replaced by the number of days in the
aggregation period during calculation. So if you ask for a quarterly
aggregated indicator value the D will be replaced by 92 (number of
days in the quarter). Can you please describe your problem in more
detail?

best regards, Lars

Hi Lars,

actually my intention is to calculate the following calculated data element:

Potential Number of hospitalization days : Number of Beds x Days in Month

Here, "Number of beds" is a data element existing into the system.

I would then , want to use the predefined "D" in the formula to
automatically hold the total days of the current month to get the
"Potential No of Hosp days calculated ", instead of using/replacing it
by 30 as the average month's days.

so far it doesn't calculate.

Okay.

Are you sure that this is not a general problem, ie. that you have
generated the data mart after entering the new indicator? In version
2.7 you can do this under "Reports" module -> "Data mart". In version
2.6 you can do this under "Data mart" module.
