DHIS2 error

Hi,

I’m new to DHIS2. I’m customizing DHIS2 to use in Maternal and Child Health System Sri Lanka. I was using DHIS 2.0.6. Then I upgraded to 2.1 and had to revert to 2.0.6. Now I cannot access my database and I herewith send the TOMCAT error log. Please see what has gone wrong.

Thanks,

Subodha

Hi Subodha,

As was reported the other day on this mailing list, downgrades are not
supported. Any time you upgrade you should always make a backup copy
of your database.

Your log looks a bit strange to me. Are you sure you deleted the /dhis
directory and replaced it with the dhis.war file?
As an experimental workaround, I suspect that deleting the
FinancialJuly and FinancialOctober period types (from the periodtype
table) may allow you to start with 2.0.6 ,but the state of your
database at this point has been altered to a version that supports
2.1. It is best if you resort to a backup if you can.

Regards,
Jason

In addition to this, make sure you really stopped tomcat before starting it… On linux you can kill tomcat with ps -A | grep java and then kill -9 , or you can resort to a good old reboot.

I suppose you could also try and export most of your setup from 2.1 to
DXF (XML) and then import into 2.0.6.

There might be a few minor glitches with this (future dxf versions
can't easily be supported) but they would be minor so if you do try
this and have a problem then shout and I could probably fix it.
