DHIS 2.40 and Android capture data loading doesn't work

Hello everyone,

On our way to migrate our DHIS2 system from version 2.36 to 2.40, we are testing the behavior of the Android DHIS2 Capture app with DHIS2 2.40. We have encountered some issues with the latest versions of the Android app. With versions 2.9.x and 3.x, the login works and metadata syncs successfully, but the data does not load, and the spinner spins indefinitely. However, everything works well with version 2.8.x.

Do we need to change something in our config to be able to use latest versions ?

Hi @didate,

we are aware of an issue that might lead to this behavior and could be the cause. It is related to TrackedEntityAttribute with auto-generated pattern. Do you know if your programs are using auto-generated trackedEntityAttributes? If so, this issue is solved in the next patch release, and I am afraid there is no other solution for now.

If you are not using auto-generated attributes, would it be possible to have testing credentials to try it on your server?

Yes all our programs have auto generated attributes.

That’s OK, as the issue is known, we can wait the next patch and continue to use the 2.8 in the meantime.

New released version (3.0.1) of the DHIS Capture fixed the sync issue.
