DataEntry forms to handle multiple entities at once

Hi,

I have now got some idea, how to create programs, register entities then enroll into the program.

Is there any option to perform these operations at mass level, because we are using mostly paper forms and these are then entered into the system at a central office.

Once we receive a form provider (doctor) with patient details, there are some values like provider, location that will be same for each patient, but when entering the same into the system, it goes into each registration/program state details separately.

Does DHIS2 provide any data entry option to select a provider and add details for multiple patients?

Alternate option is to create a separate application that input the details, convert it to DHIS2 format and use API to push the data into the system. But it does require some more work and time.

Hi Muhammad,

No, we don’t have that feature at the moment. But, we have a plan to introduce something like a “Family of Tracked Entity Instances”. Once we have such a family, we can put some values to it - like for example in your case provider, location,… and other details. Then the moment a tracked entity instance is part of a family it will inherit all (or parts, depending on configuration) of the family values.

As you pointed, the best approach at the moment is to use the API and push your data.

Hi Muhammad,

I am not 100% sure if its a fit but you could check out the “Tabular Tracker Capture” app which you can find in the app store here:

https://www.dhis2.org/appstore

Read more about apps here.

Hi Lars,

Thanks for sharing, but it seems that this app does not work. I have installed the app on my windows (7) machine. Once I have selected the organization unit, it keep on showing that it is loading, but nothing acutally happens.

On a linux server, the I can see a small nick of the loading option under the top bar and it does not even show any option to select the organization unit.
