Data element orgunit type

Hi all,

We are happily using the new organisation unit type in our data entry forms on tracker capture App, but we wonder if is it possible or will it be possible in a future to configure the tree which appears once the data element is clicked.

In our case we configure users indicating a certain organisation unit where they can enter data. So then in the left orgunit tree they don’t see the other organisation units, only the ones where the user will need to enter data. But then the same tree appears when a data element of type orgunit is clicked, meaning that the patient can only be from the organisation units in which the user entering the data has acces. If I’am a data clerk of Village B I can only select Village B.

As we have seen, this behaviour is not exactly the same in Event Capture App where the tree inside a data element of type orgunit is the one with the organisation units associated with the data output of the user and the left organisation unit tree contains the Data Capture organisation units of the user.

So to sum up, what we know clearly is that we will be more than interested to be able to configure the tree which appears when a data element is clicked for each user.

Is there any development or planification in something similar or related?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi,

Both event capture and tracker capture are using the same thing:

  1. use data capture orgunits tree in the left hand column
  2. use data output and analysis organisation units tree for data elements of type ‘ORGANISATION_UNIT’.
What kind of configuration would you like to have?

A similar but different question was asked few days back - the ability to filter org units based on group / group sets. This is something we will be considering in the coming releases.
