Controlling the location of indicators in Tracker

Hi everyone,

Am not sure if this is possible with the tracker; I have some indicators and i would like their values displayed on the data entry form in Tracker capture, right next to the data elements.

Am able to achieve this with custom forms in dataset but not in tracker.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi Ese,

This would only be achieved through a custom entry screen, but the custom form for tracker isnt supporting this at the moment.

Thanks so much for responding Prosper. You are right; tracker does not support it at the moment. It’s a feature the dev team should consider adding though.

Hi Ese,

I am sure you are aware of it but you can also use the “Indicators” widget and place it above the data entry widget:

Thanks Lars,

We are actually using the indicator widget at the moment. It works perfectly for small data entry forms because you can see the indicator value while entering data.

However, it’s little complex when the data entry form is large and you are entering data at the bottom part of the form. You don’t immediately see the value of the indicator, except you scroll back up to the indicator widget.

In that case you can put the indicator widget at left top and pin down the left column. This will make the left top always visible.

Thanks Abyot,
I didn’t know the dashboard was that flexible. The pin down feature worked great for me but am forced to move the indicator widget to the right because it seem like you can only Pin down the right side widget at the moment.

Is it possible to pin down the left column as you recommended? The indicator widget fits better on the left.
