Contribution to DHIS2

Hi Developers,
I am interested in contributing to the project 'Enhance existing DHIS2 android dashboard application’. I have a experience of about 1 year in android development and would like to contribute to the project. I have downloaded the app from play store but It requires a server url, username and a password to start, I would like to know if there is any development credentials that could be used or a new set has to be generated, if yes, please guide me from where can I get those credentials. I have gone through major chunk of code and the issues too, would like to submit a patch soon.

A quick introduction, I’m Siddharth Singh, a second year student at IIIT Delhi, India. My major is Computer Science

Hi Singh,

You will need to first setup a dhis2 instance to use the android app. The android app is a client application of dhis2. For example, the URL would be http://localhost:8080/dhis if you have deployed the system to the localhost at port 8080.

Hope this can give you a quick start. More on DHIS2 Installtion

Regards.
