I’ve tried to look on the board for similar, but couldn’t find any clear solutions, so asking for assistance here;
There were some 40ish TEIs enrolled under the incorrect org unit, and now we would like to move them to the new org unit, however, I’m struggling to work out how to do this.
I’ve tried exporting and filtering the TEIs, changing the org unit UID and re-importing, but that hasn’t worked. We’re using 2.41 and I know a bit about the API but not loads- I did try using Postman to transfer ownership as I had found in an older board post, but it gave me a 405 error: not allowed.
I understand that this could happen and how to fix this requires an understanding of how the system works when the TEIs are registered, and since ownership and transfer is being recorded, if we want to bypass the ‘transfer’ option, we need to try a different method.
I think this is because you would be overwriting data? Did you try to delete them before importing them again?
I guess this is because not all of the TEI data was exported and imported (I used the import/export app). Do I need to run a different API command to get the full record (with associated events)?
