Change Encryption Password

Hi,

Is there any possibility of changing the encryption password once an instance has been setup and already has encrypted data in it.

Thanx.

Hi Pamod,

with encrypted data, do you mean attribute values (of an attribute set to “confidential”) captured using 2.22?

regards,

Lars

Hi Lars,

yes, with attribute set to confidential in 2.22.

But even if previous versions without confidential attributes, if I change the encryption password in hibernate.properties and try to restart the server it throws out errors. Is it possible to change this password once it has been set.

Thanx
