Hi - I wanted to echo the limitations on the new Org Unit assignment functionality. The new UI is very nice, but key functionality has been dropped, which doesn’t allow to some organizations to easily transition into the new UI. They include:
- UI only tells you how many OUs are assigned, but it doesn’t open the tree. Before it was very visual: you could see what’s assigned, what’s not assigned. Now you have to open the whole tree to discover it. Difficult when assignment is on 10k Org Units.
- As reported by Prosper, Org Unit edit not longer show datasets / programs assignment.
- Also reported by Prosper, “Date Set Assignment editor” is gone. This was very useful - not sure why it got dropped.
- When assigning, ‘select at level’ doesn’t respect the current selection in the tree. Before it will only select/ unselect from the OU that you have previously selected.
