I think the “About DHIS2” link is more relevant for administrators. Alternatively, the name could be updated to match the application title. Is there a way to set this globally so that it reflects across all apps that install the core apps?
I managed to change it in my app, but the value doesn’t persist for other apps since they use the imported header bar.
Could anyone share their suggestions or ideas on how this can be addressed?
I don’t think you’ll be able to hide the About DHIS2 link (at least consistently) with css.
I think some reasons that we have that information generally accessible is:
it allows users to share information which can be useful for system admins/developers when a problem is encountered.
it has some statistics that are useful to certain users (e.g. when analytics was last run)
Perhaps a name change, like from “About DHIS2” to “Technical specifications”, might make it clearer to users that the information is not something they would generally need to look at (and also avoid the DHIS2 branding).
