Dear All, I am currently looking for a data collection application solution for our current instance and the scenario is as follows: CURRENT SITUATION PHUs------------------------DHMTs---------------------DHIS2 Public Health Units: PHUs has the following paper based records (Register---\>Tally Sheet------\>Summary Forms): These Summary Forms are then submitted to the District Health Management Teams: DHMTs they in turn access DHIS 2 to do data entry. Having look at our data collection strategy up to our data entry there is need for concern since it might affect the quality of our data. FUTURE SITUATION PHUs----------------------------DHIS2 In light of this, i am inquiring if anyone had done a project that could improve our data quality or is there a recommendation from Oslo in relation to an application that could be a solution. Actually i was thinking of an app within a tab that could act as a register & tally sheet which will then the sum data collected at the end of the month, populate the various Summary Forms and then sync to DHIS 2 once these tabs are within the environs of the DHMTs. Kindly share your views or opinions or anything in relation to this topic because it is something that i think is affecting most countries using DHIS 2. Dear Gerald Thomas, This kind of flow information, we have implemented since 2014 up to now. In order to improve quality of data and information, it is important to improve quality of data from registration, tally and summary report forms before it can entry into DHIS2. 80% of error is occurred in paper system (compiling) and only 20% error while entry into DHIS2. Some of information like EPI and MCH, we are now trying to apply event capture in DHIS2 which data entry is from registration if infrastructure is supported (staff are well train and connect inter net stable and cover large areas) Anyway, we have done assessment and external verification, if you need we can share with you. Dear Dr. Chansaly, I totally agreed with you with reference to the stats giving and that arouse my attention to raise this inquiry. I am craving for such implementation and if necessary i can share the registers, tally forms and summary forms because only way you can properly address our current situation.
