Yes,
We are using them extensively (V2.21) … however, we’ve come across a few limitations that we’ve had to work around.

Thanks David, Erling,
I
have an example where sections are hidden for a yes/no data element when there is no value or no selected. When I choose yes, the other sections are not available in the android app.
Attaching some screenshots from web and Android to demonstrate.
Any ideas?

Which DHIS 2 version are you using and which version of the Android Event Capture are you using? Also, how does your program rule statement look like?

Personally, I’ve found that OR clauses in trigger and multiple ‘effects’ off a trigger don’t seem to work consistently (or at all) il the 2.21 mobile event capture (though they might work on the browser interface) … can’t comment on the 2.22 versions.

Did you try the solution as David was suggesting? I think !#{variable-name} should be sufficient and you don’t need the AND statement with == ‘No’

Hi Erling/David
Thanks is working after removing the OR statement.
Another question, how does the android app handle the ordering of data elements?
The sections display fine but the data elements are not in order. I have tried to apply a numbering scheme to the data element name and form name to order them properly (ie 701-01, 701-02 etc.) but this does not seem to be displaying in the correct order in the app.
Thanks

Yep,
Have experienced something similar as well.
We found that in general, the field order on the Android App would follow those specified in the Stages … but for some types of fields they just wouldn’t play nicely and got shoved to the bottom of the Android screen no matter what we did.
Anyway, I haven’t fully tested/documented these anomalies so I can’t be more specific than that without going in and doing further investigation.
