[AEHIN-ORG] FW: CONSIDERATIONS AND GUIDANCE FOR COUNTRIES ADOPTING NATIONAL HEALTH IDENTIFIERS

Cc:

Dear Colleagues,

I am extraordinarily pleased to alert the AeHIN network of a new publication of UN agency endorsed considerations and guidance for countries adopting national health identifiers. Please see attached and URL for reference.

http://www.unaids.org/en/media/unaids/contentassets/documents/unaidspublication/2014/JC2640_nationalhealthidentifiers_en.pdf

More general information is here: http://www.unaids.org/en/resources/documents/2014/name,100356,en.asp

I would like to personally applaud UNAIDS and US CDC and PEPFAR for painstakingly working this health services ID agenda along and publishing this timely normative document.

This timely guidance will be presented at the upcoming AeHIN 3rd General Meeting in Manila 4-5 December 2014. Stay tuned.
