Greetings DHIS2 community,
While updating the Tracker Capture Application to the most recent version (0.5.1), we noticed that the automatically generated UIDs have now become editable in the tracked entity profile. This previously was not possible in older versions of the application, such as 0.34 and 0.4. Should our end users accidentally alter a UID, this will create significant challenges for our tracker program. Does anyone have any suggestions for making the UID non-editable? Thanks for any advice you might have!
Which version of dhis2 are you using?, am aware of a bug in 2.28 on Auto generated IDs, unable to download IDS, and when you ignore and click out of the error box the field becomes editable. Are IDs able to generate?
Regards

Our live instance is using 2.25, but our test instance has been upgraded to 2.27. We have noticed that the UIDs are editable in the app with either version of the instance. This was not possible with an older version of the tracker capture app.
We have also had an issue with the system not being able to generate reserved UIDs for offline use, but we assumed this was due to the server being overwhelmed, or poor internet connection. We have upgraded our server a number of times to account for unusual amounts of traffic. Users seem to be able to download UIDs now.
The being able to click out of error boxes and edit anyway is a bug that we have noticed as well and will be reporting to JIRA. This was previously not possible with older versions of the tracker capture app.
