Hi DHIS2-devs,
We’d like to be able to find a way of discovering the association of an SMS command with a dataSet. It seems like the current response from the API for SMS commands doesn’t display that, unfortunately: https://play.dhis2.org/demo/api/sms/commands
Is there another way of achieving this? If not could this be added to the SMS command response for future versions?

Yes. This support has been added to the system and it will be available in the upcoming release. For more information https://jira.dhis2.org/browse/DHIS2-1302.
