from what I understand, there is no way to limit access to apps based on user roles or sharing, is that correct? If so, are there plans to include this in the future? It think it would be very helpful in cases where there are «specialised» apps only useable by a few people.

OK, good - though I put in a vote for 2.16;) We’re having to set up separate instances of DHIS in order to restrict access, which is not a great solution.
