A chart created by User A is available to a user B on the data visualizer as a favourite. It can be loaded, changed and saved. But then when user B tries to add it to his/her dashboard, the chart is not offered. The chart is a public object.
Am I missing a setting somewhere? Before, in 2.10 you could do ‘system’ charts - that would guarantee that they will be available to all users. Now there is the more sophisticated group permission, but somehow the dashboard is not seeing the permissions in the chart object.

Okay that means that the fix has been included not only for the latest development version but also for the 2.11 release. It implies that you can go to http://dhis2.org/downloads and downloaded the updated 2.11 stable release after a few hours.

Hi Lars,
When you say “Fixed and back-ported to 2.11” how exactly do you mean? Please kindly break it down a lil bit for those of not too tech-savvy.

Hi Rodolfo,
thanks for spotting this. It was an oblivion on our side. Fixed and back-ported to 2.11.

It means that it is not only available in the latest trunk code for the coming 2.12 release (due in early June), but has also been fixed for the 2.11 release. In other words, there is an update to 2.11, which you can download to replace the one you are currently running. We recommend continuing to use 2.11 until 2.12 has been completed, tested, and released.
